2020 Year In Review | Jennie Crate, Photographer
It’s tough to know where to start with this post, as it’s been quite a year.
Don’t get me wrong, I am full of so much GRATITUDE for the couples I’ve worked with this year and the kinds of experiences we crafted together.
But I’m going to keep it real: 2020 was hard.
I had to learn to slow down (and if you know me, you know I love to be busy).
I had to learn that you don’t have to leave the house to keep your kids entertained.
I had to learn that I was capable of parenting through really tough times in quarantine.
And I had to learn that some deadlines were self-imposed and okay to miss.
I also had to learn that deep down I am happy with a different work-life balance than what I have pursued the past few years. I’ve realized that I want to work more intentionally so I could give myself more fully to my family when I’m not working.
I’ve come away from 2020 with lots of lessons and some plans for how to move forward in business and that feels good.
No matter how tough the last 9 months were, that in itself feels right.
2020 Year In Review
However, I do want to highlight the absolutely beautiful moments that I was privileged to be a part of this year.
To the couples who pushed forward with a wedding in 2020; who re-imagined and embraced a different vision for your day; and, most importantly, who chose love and celebration in a time of challenge and heartbreak–CHEERS TO YOU!
And here’s to 2021 and the amazing moments and spirits yet to be captured.
xoxo,
Jennie
