Just a week after their spectacularly beautiful intimate elopement on the top of Mt. Evans, I joined Ellen and John in Littleton for their boho themed fall Chatfield wedding. While the two of them definitely wanted their secluded moment on top of a mountain, they also wanted to celebrate their marriage with their closest family and friends.
The wedding day dawned bright and warm and we joined Ellen and her bridesmaids at Chatfield where they were hanging out in bright robes, picnicing on the lawn, and helping each other with make-up from their Harry Potter palette. And if you love Harry Potter as much as I do, you’ll love the shirts they all wore under their robes.
In fact, the day was full of custom touches that make wedding days memorable, from including their dogs Midnight and Mimi in their first look, to the buttons they gave guests as favors that could be donated to Ellen and John’s favorite non-profit organizations.
On top of the tear filled vows (I’m not crying, you’re crying!) and Ellen’s impeccable free-flowing style, my favorite part of this wedding was seeing a friend marry her best friend. Ellen and John compliment each other in so many ways. They’re tender with each other, laugh with each other, and support their passions.
In short, I could not be more proud to have been the one to capture their wedding day love story.
Congratulations you two!
