A Dark Cinderella Styled Shoot with Belle Terre Floral

In April, Sarah from Belle Terre Floral contacted me about photographing a styled shoot she was planning.  I’ve worked with Sarah on two styled shoots before (Ice Castles and Hats) and her stunning work never disappointed.

Sarah’s vision for this shoot was dark, dreamy, and swoony–a modern day twist on the Cinderella story using two women, taking place in a cemetery.

My new job didn’t allow me a lot of room to help with coordination, though I was able to send a few vendors suggestions her way.  Instead, I got to hear about her vision, see who was involved, and show up to a stunning display of roses and love potions in a historic cemetery.  The models Emily and Marika, decked out in costumes from the Ritz and styled to perfection by Dia of Lady Luck Jewelry and Chelsea Lassaline of MENTE Freelance, took to the essence of the shoot from the moment they stepped on set.

They swooned, embraced, got totally lost in the story and displayed phenomenal chemistry from start to finish.

This shoot challenged me to think more high fashion while still finding ways to maintain our style as we went along.  Creative energy to the fullest.  Thanks for inviting me along Sarah!
