Abagael and Amy’s Mitchell Lake Engagement

Amy is from the UK and Abagael lives in Iowa, so it was a stroke of luck that they ended up at the same camp several years after they both graduated from college. Their interactions at camp were brief, but there was a faint glimmer of something between them.

Several years and several relationships later, Abagael finally answered an Instagram DM from Amy that had been sitting in her inbox for a very long time. Amy responded and the two of them quickly connected on a deep level.

In the fall of 2021, Amy came to visit Abagael and the two of them planned to travel around the US. They planned a 3 week trip to Colorado, much of which was spent camping (even though Amy would rather be glamping), and they booked a fall session with me!

We chose Indian Peaks Wilderness for their celebration session and hiked the trail together to Mitchell Lake. We found some beautiful fall color on the drive up Brainard Lake Road and we took full advantage of the sunlight in the evergreens along the Mitchell Lake Trail.

These two are going to officially get married in Iowa, since some of the name change procedures are simpler than they are in Colorado, but I am so glad I got to be part of their Colorado adventures!
