Arapahoe Basin Summer Wedding | Louise and Linton
Louise and Linton had an absolutely gorgeous day for their Arapahoe Basin Summer Wedding. The weather on this mountain can change rapidly and in the weeks leading up to the wedding we were very worried about summer rains. We created back up plan after back up plan for photos if the weather was stormy. But in the end, we didn’t need them. Yay!
Louise got ready in the ski school at the base of the mountain, while Linton and his groomsmen hung out in the restaurant bar. Louise was super relaxed during prep and that energy carried over to her bridesmaids as well. Soon enough it was time for Louise to put on her gorgeous embroidered wedding dress. After a few finishing touches, we headed to a first look with Linton in the trees.
Louise and Linton have a relaxed energy about them and they are incredibly tender towards each other. I love that they prioritized some time together for photos before moving on to bridal party photos. We found the most perfect pocket of light for bridal party and family photos, and then it was time to start shuttling guests up the mountain for the ceremony!
The ceremony at Arapahoe Basin is at the top of the mountain and the bridal party takes the chair lift up right before they walk down the aisle. So in a sense, the chair lift is the first part of the aisle. And then once you disembark, you walk down a path to the ceremony spot on the deck.
Louise and Linton created their aspen ceremony arch from trees in Louise’s parent’s yard. I love when couple’s choose sentimental details that highlight part of their past as they join together for their future. After the ceremony, the two walked back down the aisle to a shower of rose petals.
Their reception at Black Mountain Lodge highlighted their love of trees and the outdoors, as well as their preference for pie over cake. Their family and friends roasted them with some hilarious toasts that had the whole reception hall laughing. And to top it off, we were treated to the most magical alpenglow out the window during these toasts.
Finally, once the food had been eaten and the pie had been cut, it was time to hit the dance floor for some evening fun.
It was such a joy to celebrate with Louise and Linton for their Arapahoe Basin Summer Wedding. Some of my favorite images are below!
