I first crossed paths with Steph and Chris at the Lovesick Expo back in February but it took us until June to get their Betty Ford Alpine Gardens Engagement on the books. Between a crazy spring ski season at the resorts that both Steph and Chris work at and the shoulder surgery that took Steph out of commission for a few weeks, it was late June before we managed to meet up.
In a way I’m glad we waited though. Spring in Colorado can be hit or miss and by waiting we ended up with a gorgeous, warm, sunny day in Vail. And it gave Steph the opportunity to rock two bright, vibrant
We started the day wandering through the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. Though the gardens aren’t extensive, there are tons of small path and nooks to explore. There are trees, ponds, creeks, mini-waterfalls, and even a children’s garden. The make it even better, there was an outdoor classical concert going on right next door so as we wandered, we were treated to music lilting through the trees.
As sunset approached, we headed down the path to Gore Creek, catching the last golden light by the icy mountain water. After we wrapped, we hit up a whisky bar where we shared a cocktail and chatted about travel adventures–namely ICELAND. Steph and Chris went to Iceland recently and you better believe I picked their brains about their experiences.
Steph and Chris are planning a huge celebration next May in Beaver Creek and from the sounds of it, its going to a heck of a party.
Congratulations you two!
