To continue on the post from yesterday…
For the NotWedding (now known as the Big Fake Wedding), each of the photographers is given 20 minutes to work with the couple and wedding party alone. For this year, though, us three photographers and the videographer chose to spend the time all together, taking turns in each location so we all had a variety of images. Overall this approach was a great one, as it gave us each about and hour and a half to shoot, either as the lead, or from a different angle than the lead.
I’m so in love with so many of these images, shot in Civic Center Park, that I needed a separate blog post to share them. Make sure you click back to yesterday’s post to view the highlight photos of the event, focusing on the amazing vendors, then scroll down to check out the awesomeness that is Kelly and Josh.
As a little background, Kelly and Josh were introduced by a network of close friends in college. After being friends for two years, they fell in love, married, and have been living happily in Atlanta ever since. They traveled to Denver with their friends Kyle, Zach, Cara, and Katie to participate in the the NotWedding and instantly fell in love with the beautiful state of Colorado (who wouldn’t?). Katie and Kyle are also brother and sister, and Zach is Josh’s cousin, so the whole party had a fun, relaxed vibe around them and were a blast to work and connect with. Kelly and Josh used the NotWedding as a chance to renew their vows and it was so endearing to see Josh choke up–so much so that he couldn’t finish his vows and Kelly had to jump in and go first.
Here’s to many more years of a happy marriage!
