I was excited to shoot alongside Caroline Pippen Photography in August for a Deer Creek Valley Ranch Wedding, partly because I love shooting with amazing photographers I haven’t worked with before, and partly because we have a wedding of our own at the Ranch next summer and I wanted to get a good feel for the property.
The ceremony location is a 5-7 minutes shuttle ride form the main Ranch building and those 5 minutes bring you right out into the heart of a a gorgeous valley, complete with a spectacular view of Mt. Evans in the background.
Having chosen not to see each other before the wedding, the moment Sarah walked down the aisle was emotional on all accounts. I just love it when couples and families display ready emotion–its so raw and so beautiful.
Aside from Sarah’s gorgeous silk dress, my favorite part of the ceremony was when Sarah recited part of her vows in Mario’s native Spanish.
After the ceremony we had time for a few mountain portraits, before heading back to the Ranch for the reception–full of laughter, joy, and a whole lotta family dancing.
Congratulations Mario and Sarah!
