Blackberry Creek Retreat Ozarks Wedding Photos | Rebecca and Zach

Despite the beautiful night we had for the rehearsal the night before, we woke to rain and thunder for Rebecca and Zach’s Blackberry Creek Retreat Wedding.  Heather and I lay in bed that morning looking at the dismal weather forecast, not sure what would happen to the outdoor ceremony plans.   But we headed to the B&B optimistic that the weather would blow over by early afternoon.

It didn’t.

BUT, this is a true testament to the kind of couple Rebecca and Zach are–they didn’t care.  What  mattered was that they were getting married, no matter what the weather looked like. We took advantage of a small break to squeeze in some portraits of the ladies before rain pushed us back inside again.  And then, when we saw the smallest break in the weather around ceremony time, the crew dried off the chairs, sat the guests, and started the ceremony.  Turns out the break wasn’t much of a break after all and the entire ceremony happened in the pouring rain.

But it was beautiful!  Their officient entertained the guests with awesome stories about Rebecca and Zach, they exchanged vows and rings with perma-grins on their faces, and even went off for a short couple’s escape as the rain continued to pour down.  To say it was magical is an understatement.

Around dinnertime we finally got a break in the weather and the timing was perfect to squeeze in some couples portraits around sunset.

Rebecca and Zach, we wish you the best of luck in your new stateside adventures.  It was an honor to be able to capture your wedding day with you.
