Boreas Pass Engagement Session | Gabe and Jo

Jo and Gabe hail from New York state and drove into Colorado a few days before their wedding for their Boreas Pass Engagement Session.  I absolutely loved that the two of them took a pre-wedding honeymoon where they spent two weeks exploring the American Southwest before stopping in Colorado to celebrate their wedding with family and friends.

I made a day of it, and met them at The Lodge at Breckenridge two days before their wedding.  From there it was a quick drive up to the start of Boreas Pass where we spent the next two hours driving between pull-offs to chase the perfect light.  In the process, we made a mental note of places we wanted to return to for portraits on their wedding day (stay, tuned!).

I love that Jo and Gabe were up for anything I asked of them, treking along rocky dirt paths in heels when necessary.  We chatted about their amazing trip and what they were excited for on their upcoming wedding day, and it was such a pleasure to see these two so excited that their wedding day was finally almost here.
