My Own Boudoir Session with Boudoir by Kate

For a couple of years I’ve been considering doing a boudoir session with my good friend Katie (who owns Boudoir by Kate), and this winter we finally made it happen!

To start, her studio is Westminster is great–it has wonderful light, amazing sets, and a lot of variety to work with.

Understandably, I was a little nervous to start, but working with Katie was just downright fun! She had ideas about how to use the outfits we picked, great tips on how to move and pose my body, and gave genuine encouragement throughout that made me feel like I was doing a killer job (even when I felt a little awkward).

I showed some friends the photos recently and I was met by gasps, “wow’s!” and so many compliments on good the photos were.

I love how they show me a side of myself that I don’t usually see. One that feels real and raw and beautiful.
