Earlier this year I published a rundown of some of my favorite Colorado Wedding Vendors. But in case the preview left you wanting to know more about these amazing people, I’m taking the time to do some more in depth introductions to these talents.

How long have you been in business?
Brindle and Oak has been in business for 5 years although both owners Michelle and Megan have been planning weddings and events for almost 9 years each!

What made you start Brindle + Oak?
We really started the business because we felt everyone deserved a quality wedding planner. We really want to make sure our couples are able to be present on their wedding day and if we can help in making that day as calm and put together as possible then we are doing our job.

What is your favorite part of owning your own business?
Is it cheesy to say Love? We are so lucky to work with couples who are in love and who are committing their lives to each other. How cool is that?!

Who is your ideal client?  Who inspires you in your design?
Each couples story inspires us! We never want someone to look at one of our weddings and say, ‘oh that is a Brindle + Oak wedding’. Rather, we want them to see details of the couple’s first date, and elements of their love story, and hints of the world they have created together. We are inspired by the fact that our couples are trusting us to help bring all the pieces together into a cohesive vision.

Describe the process of working with you.  How would a couple interact with you from start to finish?
We start the design process with a design meeting to get to know our couples. We want to know everything from where they like to eat to what their first date was to what flowers make them happy. From there we create a Design Story that really encompasses the entire day from a guest experiential point. We tie in everything from custom color palates to floral design to paper goods to the flow of the day. After the story is complete to match our couples with vendors that match their style and budget. This is where the fun begins and we get to help bring the Design Story to life. Along with all the pretty things, we also help our couple flush out the logistics of the day from the moment they wake up until they drive away as newlyweds. There is so much in between but each couple is unique and so is the planning process!

What trends are inspiring to you right now?
We are loving the trend of texture in whatever form it takes? Flowers or paper or fashion, if you layer textures the end result is always awesome!

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Megan is chocolate all the way and Michelle is anything fruit flavored. Complete opposites.

Where would you most like to travel?
We were just throwing around a trip to Bali! Styled shoot anyone?!
