Chapel of Our Savior Colorado Springs Wedding | Caroline and Marshall
When the uber talented Michelle of Brindle + Oak tells you you would be a perfect fit for one of her couples, you know they’re awesome. And Caroline and Marshall were no exception. We instantly clicked over a skype conversation from their home in San Francisco and I couldn’t wait for their Chapel of Our Savior Colorado Springs wedding.
Caroline and Marshall are adventurers who find immense fulfillment in the people they meet along the way. They have friends all over the world and love embracing new cultures, yet they are down to earth and completely grounded in their place in the world. In fact, two weeks after their wedding they packed up their things and moved to Taiwan for a new adventure where Caroline will start with work a start up and Marshall will write a novel.
The Church of Our Savior in Colorado Springs was the perfect backdrop for their episcopal ceremony, which was officiated by one of their close friends, Claire. The large window at the front of the church illuminated the alter with gorgeous natural light and you could just sense the joy radiating from the front to the back. After the ceremony, there was space on the lawn for cocktails and games, and the perfect patio for dancing the night away. It felt very Downton Abbey, beautifully removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
It was such a pleasure to spend my Saturday with you and I can’t wait to follow along with your adventures overseas!
Caroline’s dress by Amy Kuschel was absolutely stunning. She couldn’t stop raving about how amazing it was and the style fit the elegance of the venue so well.Cheri from Unique Southern Charm’s floral design was so perfect for the early fall day. The deep crimsons and pops of berries looked awesome in Caroline’s hair and in the bridal bouquets. The episcopal ceremony inside the Chapel of Our Savior was reverent and clearly meant a lot to Caroline and Marshall.Married! After the ceremony Caroline and Marshall took a quick moment alone before greeting their guests in the courtyard. The decorations in the reception tent were beautiful. I love how Unique Southern Charm incorporated fruit into the center pieces. As we were sneaking away for couple’s portraits just before sunset, Caroline and Marshall made a point to stop and take it all in. They spent a quiet moment simply grateful for all of the love and support from their family and friends who had come to celebrate with them. After a BBQ dinner and toasts, it was time to hit the outdoor dance floor under the market lights.Congratulations again!
Love the florals, especially the bride’s hairpiece! Looks like a wonderful day. Lovely photos as always!
