Chautauqua Park Engagement | Jess and Rachael
Jess and Rachael moved to Colorado from Florida, where they had lived for 6.5 years. Tired of the humidity and heat, they wanted a change in weather. While they might not be totally loving the winters here, they are in love with the sunshine and dry air and plan to make Colorado home for the next few years.
They met online, moved in together 6 months later, and quickly started planning their life together.
On their 5 year anniversary, in November 2019, they got married in Muir woods in California. But to get ready for the big day, they decided to take their engagement photos in Colorado.
Chautauqua Park Engagement
Their adorable pup is an important part of their life together, so they chose the dog-friendly Chautauqua Park to start their engagement session. We met at the park in later afternoon and quickly hit the trails. It was fun getting to know each other as we wandered around, stopping whenever we felt inspired by light. I was actually afraid that we wouldn’t get any sunshine at all during our session, but as the day got later, the sun started peaking through the clouds.
After we lost the sun at Chautauqua Park, we headed up Boulder Canyon to Lost Gulch Overlook. Again, we weren’t sure what kind of weather we’d find, but we were blessed with little wind and a gorgeous sunset!
I’m so happy that I got to spend an afternoon with these two wonderful people. Congrats on your big year!
