City Park Denver Proposal | Ashley and Jordan
Gosh, I love a good proposal. Especially when it involves two awesome humans like Jordan and Ashley. We met serendipitously a couple of years ago during a photography conference in Las Vegas. I was putting together a styled shoot in the Nevada desert, and I put out a model call on Instagram.
Jordan and Ashley had been following me for awhile, ever since I photographed their friends Jess and Elise’s Washington Park wedding a few years ago. And they just happened to be in Las Vegas for a rugby tournament the same week that I would be there. Fast forward a few weeks and we were exploring the dry lake beds for an elopement styled shoot.
Since then, we’ve kept up with each other on social media and I cheered along when Ashley proposed to Jordan last winter.
They hired me to photograph their winter wedding (more on that crazy COVID story in a future post), but as they planned, Jordan had another surprise up her sleeve.
She wanted to propose back to Ashley and she chose to do it while they were in Denver visiting friends last fall.
So the elaborate planning began for a beautiful proposal in City Park. With the help of her friends (the same Jess and Elise that led us to each other), Jordan decorated a tree with lanterns, notes, and rings. On their walk around the lake, they “stumbled” upon the tree and Jordan got down on one knee.
It was a beautiful moment to whitness!
After Ashley said yes, we wandered around city park, taking in the amazing sunset. Then the group finished with wine and charcuterie under the lantern lit tree.
Considering a proposal? I’d be honored to help you plan so reach out today!
