Della Terra Mountain Chateau | Meri and Michael’s Summer Wedding

Meri and Michael’s wedding day started and finished at the beautiful Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park. With an equal mix of Old European charm and rustic mountain surroundings this venue was perfect for Michael and Meri’s vision.

They started the day getting ready in separate spaces, where they prioritized hanging out with their wedding parties, then came together for a first look among the pines.

We fought a little off and on rain during wedding party photos, but the skies cleared in time for their ceremony at the stone amphitheater. A good friend served as their officiant, bringing in the right amount of humor, poise, and genuine love for the couple.

Two parts of their ceremony stood out to me. One: they were so excited to finally be getting married that they snuck in a kiss right at the beginning of the ceremony. And two: their tribute to their love of Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains that stemmed from Meri’s grandfathers love of the area.

After the ceremony, Meri and Michal led the way to the cocktail hour through a shower of flower petals.

Attending cocktail hour is often important to my couples and I love that Meri and Michael prioritized this time with their guests. As Meri said “they’re just so fun!”

After dinner and toasts we snuck out got sunset portraits. And let me tell you: the mountains, the sun, and the wildflowers created a spectacular show. With Meri and Michael as the centerpiece.

The reception was highlighted by amazing and emotional toasts and then we hit the outdoor patio for dancing under the market lights.

All in all a beautiful wedding day in Estes Park.
