This year has been a little strange for wedding photographers and wedding planners alike. For whatever reason (some people blame the election!) many of my industry friends have found their calendars strangely quiet this summer. I am no different and while I would love to have a few more weddings on my own calendar, I’m taking advantage of the slower season and working for other outstanding photographers.
In May I joined Kristina of Decorous Photography, as a 2nd photographer for Jessica and Dan’s Denver Hotel Monaco Wedding. I’d never been to a Hotel Monaco, though I’d heard awesome thing about this boutique hotel chain. The hotel definitely didn’t disappoint. Wait til you see the room that Jessica got ready in–the light, the lines, the colors!
After the first look in the hotel, we trooped across the street to the Denver courthouse for some couple’s portraits. Then it was back inside for an intimate candlelit ceremony, followed by a reception that highlighted the dancing genius of the kids in attendance.
Below are just a few of my favorites.
I couldn’t be happier for you both–congratulations Jessica and Dan!
The Byron White U.S. Courthouse near Downtown Denver is an iconic, picturesque building, perfect for dramatic bridal portraits.
