Where is the Evergreen Red Barn?

You can visit the Evergreen Red Barn at 7826 Alabraska Lane, Evergreen CO. Evergreen is a beautiful part of Colorado that is known for its beautiful parks, mountain feel, and souring evergreen trees. And the best part is that it’s within an hour of Denver.

What is the overall feel of the Evergreen Red Barn?

From their site:

At 7,723 feet in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the Evergreen Red Barn sits on 11 acres of pristine property.  Breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy getting away from the noise of the city.  Lush with pine trees and unique natural rock outcroppings, you’re sure to find the perfect photo spot.  Wildlife, such as elk, deer, wild turkeys, and fox frequent our property.

The rustic charm of the Red Barn is the jewel of the property.  The newly remodeled dressing rooms are a comfortable space to be with your closest friends and family in preparation for your big day!

Just 3 miles north is the quaint town of Evergreen, with fine arts, crafts, gift shops, restaurants, bistros, and coffee shops.  The Evergreen lake boasts of many activities from ice skating to kayaking to paddle boating.  Hiking trails and open space parks abound.  Come on up and see for yourself

The overall vibe is rustic and cozy. The venue run by a family, so it also feels personable.

Where do I get ready at Evergreen Red Barn?

There are two getting ready spaces on the property, the Parlor and the Den. Housed in the same building on the property, the two spaces are separated by a screen. Which means that the two sides of the wedding party can interact with each other as they need and people can jump back and forth.

The Parlor and the Den are a short walk from the main barn and the ceremony site.

Where is the ceremony space located at Evergreen Red Barn?

The ceremony site is at the Mountainside Arbor and surrounded by soaring evergreen trees and rocky boulders. The ceremony itself is held on a brick patio and has beautiful afternoon backlighting when photos are taken facing the guests.

Where do I hold my reception at Evergreen Red Barn?

The barn is made up of three indoor areas, plus an outdoor patio that is perfect for cocktail hour. I love cocktail hours on the patio which features an outdoor bar. Its the perfect place for mingling and chatting while the barn is readied for dinner.

Inside the barn the main floor can accommodate up to 80 seated guests and the balcony above can hold 45 additional seated guests. The main floor is also often the site of the first dance and toasts.

Downstairs is the dancing floor plus additional rooms that you can use for snacks, a bar, or a photo booth. The back doors open up to an outdoor lower patio where you can chill with your guests outside if you need a break from dancing.

Pro tips for getting married at Evergreen Red Barn?

The indoor areas are a little tight and don’t allow for large crowds to gather, so I would recommend doing cocktail hour and some speeches out in the front patio/ bar area.

I would plan for your first dance upstairs in the dining area rather than down in the lower level because the added ceiling height creates much needed space for photos.

Definitely sneak out at sunset to the fields adjacent to the property (with permission of the owner of course!).  From here you’ll get beautiful setting sunlight and views of the picturesque Red Barn.
