Fall Denver Gardens Wedding | Hilary and Parker

Hilary and Parker were all about relaxed outdoor class at their fall Denver Botanic Garden’s wedding.  Together they chose the gardens because it was simple, beautiful, and allowed them to spend much of their day outdoors.

I started the day with Hilary as she put the final touches on her look at the gardens. Then we walked together to the Woodland Mosaic and Solarium. This beautiful green glass structure is tucked at the back end of the garden and is surrounded by trees for the perfect amount of open shade.  Though a touch nervous before they saw each other, those nerves melted away as they laughed and embraced after their first look.

We took some time to wander the nearby gardens, looking for beautiful backdrops.  There are so many places to explore in the gardens, that I feel like there really is never enough time! We explored the arbor near the Annuals Garden and the herb garden near the Solarium.

Annuals Garden Ceremony

After some family photos, Hilary and Parker were ready to get married. They chose the Annuals Garden for their ceremony, which features a beautiful outdoor pavilion.  Their immediate families walked down the aisle before them, and then they each decided to approach the alter alone.

Hilary’s dad officiated the sweet ceremony and then they walked back down the aisle together as husband and wife!

An outdoor cocktail hour followed and I love that Hilary and Parker prioritized this part of their day. They spent over an hour mingling with their guests and found time to chat with every group of friends and family present.  We pushed sunset photos back to the very last minute and were rewarded with the most golden light possible.  We wandered around Monet’s pond and the Asian gardens, plus the areas full of trees near the Cheeseman gate entrance.  Then, we found hidden gems and quiet spaces for Hilary and Parker to really relish in being married.

Marnie’s Pavilion Reception

For the reception, we retreated into the Marnie’s Pavilion, where the waterfalls and orchids set the scene for a late night dance party.

Hilary and Parker, it was wonderful to be a part of your fall Denver Botanic Gardens wedding and I can’t wait to see where life takes you!
