Goal #48 – Wedding Scrapbook Complete!

Since my job at the Art Museum ended in January I’ve had lots of time to hang around the apartment and work on projects.  I’m so excited that I FINALLY had time to finish a major project and check an item off my 101 Goals in 1001 Days list.

I’ve been an avid scrapbooker since I was in 8th grade, carefully documenting my life and activities in countless creative albums.  When we started graduate school in 2008 I started falling behind, because, well, who has time to do anything beside school and work when you’re in grad school??

Since then, I’ve been consistently about 2 years behind, so its only fitting that I finally finished our wedding scrapbook two and half years after our wedding.  We have the wedding album from our photographer, of course, and I created my own blurb book shortly after we got our wedding photos back, but I wanted to put together a real scrapbook because there is so much that tells the story of our wedding.  Since we had a destination wedding, we had events all week, but I also told the story of our wedding planning, our legal ceremony and celebration in DC months before our actual destination wedding, and our honeymoon to Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  Its a mix of professional photos, snapshots, and memorabilia.

Basically its two years of wedding planning and celebrating in a neat, creative format.

It was an amazing moment to sit down next to Heather and look through our entire story together, reliving each step along the way.  I’m so lucky to have such an amazing partner by my side each and every day. <3
