Golden Elopement Venue | Golden Colorado Wedding | Colorado Outdoor Wedding

***Unfortunately, this property is not available for renting in 2022 or 2023. But I can help you figure out another awesome option!***

Boy, the year of 2020 (aka the year of COVID), has been a wild one.  Particularly for the event industry, it’s been a really rough year.  And it’s been equally rough for the many couples that have had to re-imagine and re-plan what their wedding day looks like.

For my couples it’s been a mix of rescheduled wedding days and weddings-turned-elopements.

Which is why I’m so happy to announce that the photographers of the wedding industry are finding ways to support each other!

Enter Holly, a family photographer who lives on a gorgeous 10 acre piece of land in Golden.  She and her husband saw that couples were struggling with changes of plans and decided to offer up their property as an elopement option.

To market the property, she invited me and two other talented photographers to put together a styled elopement.  After sitting on our hands for about 6  months, we jumped at the chance to pick up our cameras again!

Holly and her husband Geoff agreed to don wedding attire for us and together we planned a beautifully colorful summer elopement session.

Golden Colorado Wedding Property Features – Ceremony

The property features a gorgeous spot for ceremonies with a beautiful split log backdrop and mountain views.  With just a few carefully selected logs, some greenery, and a couple of World Market rugs, we created a beautiful ceremony focal point that was perfect for a vow exchange.

Property Features – Alpacas

As a bonus, there are several resident alpacas that live on the land. And while they aren’t traditionally social creatures, they are quite curious, so chances are they will wander over to check you out if you enter their area of the yard.

Property Features – Fire pit

Ahh, my favorite—a fire pit!

When fire bans aren’t in effect, you can choose to end your evening cozied up by a fire with marshmallows, champagne, cookies, blankets, or anything else you envision to end your wedding day celebration.

  1. Do you know if this property is available for the 2021 season? There is a high possibility of our venue not being able to hold events after November this year. I email the contact above but have not heard back.

        1. The property is available on your date next year! I’m waiting on a good email for Holly and then I can connect you :)
