Hermit Park Summer Wedding | Ashley and Kevin
I was so excited when Candice of Candice Benjamin Photography asked me to be her 2nd photographer for Ashley and Kevin’s Estes Park Summer Wedding.
Ashley, Candice, and I were roomies back in January for Heck Yeah Photo Camp and we really bonded over our shared experiences in Joshua Tree.
I met Kevin for the first time when we landed in Denver after Heck Yeah, but Ashley was all smiles every time she talked about her fiancé. It was clear that she couldn’t wait to marry him and Candice and I were swept along in her happiness.
Fast forward 6 months and Candice and I were honored to witness Kevin and Ashley tie the knot in front of 30 of their family and friends at a remote park in Estes Park.
I love that Ashley paid attention to the details, while making sure that she and Kevin focused on what was really important–their commitment to each other and their future marriage. My favorite part of the ceremony was the Celtic wedding tradition of the Oathing Stone. They recited their vows while placing their hands on an engraved stone so their vows would be cast into the stone forever.
Though it was cold and windy by the time Ashely and Kevin sat down for a BBQ reception with their friends, I know they will remember their wedding day more for the day marking the beginning of the rest of their lives together.
Congratulations and much love!
Ashley got her light and airy wedding dress online from Australian company Grace Loves Lace.Lace and Lilles made the gorgeous vibrant bouquet along with Ashley’s flower crown.
We were fighting the rain all afternoon, but we took advantage of a dry window to explore the meadows and mountains on the way to the ceremony site at Hermit Park.Ashley decorated the arch with tons of colorful flower streamers and handmade dream catchers.
