Highland Haven Creekside Inn Elopement | Katie and Chris
Katie and Chris planned their Highland Haven Creekside Inn Elopement from Missouri. In fact, they planned it so secretly that they only brought a handful of their closest friends along to share the day with them and didn’t tell their families until they called them after the ceremony.
Though they have no real ties to Colorado, Katie fell in love with the mountains a few years ago and knew she wanted to elope there someday. When they started their research they found the quiet and peaceful grounds of Highland Haven and knew it was the perfect place.
A self-described quirky couple with a love for their perfect kitties, Katie and Chris light each other up. When they saw each other during their first look all of their nerves just melted away and they couldn’t wait to say “I DO”.
We had a weirdly rainy day for an early July wedding in Colorado, but we made it work with a clear umbrella in hand and they decided to get married outdoors anyway. After the ceremony and the phone calls home, we wandered the super green grounds of Highland Haven and captured some absolutely beautiful couple’s portraits. I love that Katie eschewed tradition and went with a light blue wedding dress and bright red lips.

Katie’s flowers came from Stems and her sparkly shoes were just the perfect sparkly touch for the day.
