Intimate Fall Wedding at Grand Lake Lodge | Emily + Grant
Emily and Grant chose to marry in one of their favorite mountain towns, Grand Lake, at my favorite mountain venue. Grand Lake Lodge.
As a planner, Emily had every detail of the day worked out. It could have felt scripted, but it never did. Instead, the emotion carried through in every part of the day.
From the gifts that their family gave them, and that they gave to each other, to the real tears and excitement that erupted whenever they thought about the fact that they were getting married, every moment mattered.
Emily and her dad took a whisky shot at the Lodge bar before starting their walk to the ceremony site. Then they stopped at the fire trucks for a last minute gift and hug.
Emily said she was a ball of nerves, but the second she saw Grant waiting at the end of the aisle, she knew everything would be perfect.
They exchanged vows at the overlook, with a live harpist and guitar player adding ambiance. They exchanged rings and personal vows, and shared a first kiss. They exited with big smiles and tears in their eyes
We did portraits at some of my favorite spots on the property, taking in the gorgeous afternoon light in the trees.
When they entered the pavilion for their reception, it was to cheers from all their friends and family. From then on it was party time. Grant and Emily had intentionally only invited 40 of their closest family and friends, to make sure the day stayed focused on their connection with each other and with their favorite people.
And they made quality time to talk with each of them.
They ate, danced, roasted, toasted, and genuinely enjoyed their evening under the pavilion.
I loved their day so much, and their kindness and genuine connection was contagious!
I travel all over the state of Colorado and across the US to capture connected wedding stories for devoted and courageous couples. I’d love to be your Grand Lake Lodge wedding photographer!
