Intimate VRBO Winter Park Wedding | Liz and Kristal

Liz and Kristal have been together since 2016.  They met on the basketball court through mutual friends and felt an immediate spark. Fast forward to 2019 and these two decided to make it official and chose to plan a beautiful Intimate VRBO Winter Park Wedding.

Originally they had planned a much larger celebration.  But as they got into planning, they realized that their day was beginning to feel less and less like “them”.  So they scrapped their plan, found an absolutely stunning private estate in Winter Park, and planned a new day that was the perfect reflection of what they wanted their wedding day to feel like.

Literally on top of a mountain top, their Winter Park house was to die for and featured everything they needed.  From the lawn that perfectly housed their intimate guest count to the patio that fit their al fresco dining table.

I arrived in Winter Park early in the afternoon and hung out with Liz and Kristal as they donned their custom wedding attire.  They shared a beautiful moment during their first look, then we escaped down the road for some stunning couple’s portraits.

Part of what I loved most about their day, was their relaxed mindset.  They had a plan for the start time of the ceremony, but were not concerned if things ran a little behind schedule.  What mattered was that all of their favorite people were there to help them celebrate, and they were going to get married.

We didn’t run behind, though, and by mid-afternoon, Kristal and Liz were walking down the aisle.  Liz’s dad officiated the wedding.  It was full of personal touches and stories that told a deep and beautiful story about how perfect Liz and Kristal were for each other.  The ceremony ended with a prayer circle that lasted through the first kiss.

The rest of the day was relaxed and intimate.  Liz and Kristal played lawn games and sat around and chatted with their friends.  They ate a home catered meal on the patio, and finished the day with homemade ice cream and the most stunning sunset possible.

Liz and Kristal’s wedding day encapsulated everything I believe is important for an intimate wedding:

They celebrated with the people they cherished the most and they planned a day that felt like them.  Honestly, it doesn’t get much better than that.
