Jamie and John’s 3M Curve and Sprague Lake Winter Engagement

Jamie and John have a special connection to Rocky Mountain National Park, so we decided it was the perfect backdrop for their winter engagement session. We started their session at 3M curve where we waded through the snow, trying to stay out of the wind. Thank goodness Jamie and John brought a blanket, which was the perfect accent to the snow.

Fortunately, it died down near the end of our time at this spot and we got to feel the bluebird sunny winter day in all its glory. Then we headed down Bear Road to hit up Sprague Lake and the frozen lake.

We played out on the ice as long as we could, then when our toes went numb, we headed back to the cars. Then right when we were about to hug goodbye, the sky started showing off. We sprinted up a snow bank to get the best view of the sky as we could and savored the last few minutes of sunset together.

The day after our shoot, Jamie and John headed back to RMNP for a back country ski trip. So our shoot was a good primer for a big outdoor weekend!
