Julia and Erin’s Morrison, CO Fall Wedding
Erin and Julia could not have asked for a more beautiful fall day to say “I Do” with their family and friends.
They started the day getting ready in separate areas, where there was both ready laughter and barely held emotion. We we arrived Julia was hanging with her brothers and Erin was reading her vows out loud to her wedding party, trying not to start crying.
But a short time later they were both giddily getting into their dresses, all smiles and excitement as they prepared for their first look.
The met under the evergreens, where they faced back to back before turning around to admire each other’s looks at the same time. Though neither knew what the other person was wearing, their dresses were a perfect compliment to each other. The laughed, hugged, and kissed as they took in the other person.
And the laughter didn’t stop the rest of the day.
Nearly the entire ceremony was a tribute to the immediate and visceral connection Erin and Julia had to each other when they met, and the ways that they both knew so quickly that they had met their perfect partner.
Through lots of laughs and some tears, they exchanged vows and rings and kissed as wives.
After the ceremony we snuck away for sunset portraits on some nearby rocks, but then it was time to party!
To kick things off, Erin and Julia “iced” their guests by rolling in a cart full of Smirnoff Ice to the sounds of “Ice, Ice, Baby” and making their entrance fully participatory.
After dinner the party started in earnest and the dance floor was rocking with both brides until the end of the night. When it was time to head out, their guests made a tunnel of pride flags for them and they laughed their way to the party bus.
Congrats and big hugs you two!
