Lodge & Spa at Breckenridge Wedding

Last summer I was tagged along with Susannah Storch Photography for a Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge Wedding at the end of June. Last year I photographed the Ice Castles in Breckenridge, and Heather and I had explored downtown on our anniversary trip last October, but I had never visited in the summer.

I was expecting a cooler, refreshing trip to the mountains, but after a week of rains, it was unbelievably hot and sunny. That didn’t stop Megan and John from having a heck of a celebration, though, and they braved the heat to marry overlooking the mountains in front of 35 of their closest family and friends.

I love intimate weddings for this reason–Megan and John had the opportunity to really connect with their guests, and it was clear that the people who made it up to the mountains were so excited to celebrate with the two of them.
