Lookout Mountain Mansion Wedding | Jamie and Neisan
I first connected with Jamie and Neisan over the phone about six weeks before their wedding and by the end of the conversation, I knew I really wanted to work with them. Their emphasis on their wedding day being more about their marriage than about the actual wedding really resonated with me, as did their laid-back approach to planning that focused on family.
When we met up at Watercourse, a local vegetarian restaurant, the week before the wedding to hang out and get to know each other, our conversations further solidified that we’d have a blast working together on their wedding day.
Jamie and Neisan chose the mountains of Lookout Mountain to celebrate and Boettcher Mansion couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop. I love how the souring evergreens soften the light just perfectly towards sunset and the mansion itself has a great space for dining indoors and socializing outdoors.
Jamie’s ring, dress, and flowers by Bannister’s were stunning and were the perfect color pallet of early fall.It was really important to Jamie and Neisan to do a first look before there ceremony and Jamie has been dreaming of portraits in the aspens for a long time. Though there aren’t many aspens in the Evergreen, CO area, Jamie and Neisan diligently scouted around until they found Frosburg Park, a small, relatively secluded park just off Sqaw Pass. Not only was there the perfect grove of aspens, they just happened to be in peak color for the fall.
Neisan’s face says it all.
Jamie’s lace dress was gorgeous and the veil was the perfect compliment to the overall look.Though it was warm and pretty bright, we took complete advantage of the aspen groves along the road by Squaw Pass.As luck would have it we had the perfect light on the rocks at Boettcher Mansion for the bridal party photos. They were real troopers, squeezing through small crevices and balancing on outcroppings, all for the perfect photo. The colors of the bridesmaid dresses were the perfect vibrant color for early fall. Then it was ceremony go time! Their adorable flower girl wasn’t quite sure she wanted to make it all the way down the aisle, but when she go to mom she was more than happy to throw her flower petals.Jamie’s good friend Mo officiated the ceremony and had the group cracking up the whole time. I also love their incorporation of the love knot that was tied around their hands, joining them in marriage, just before their first kiss.Jamie hand crafted and assembled their reception decorations and each table was unique and different. I loved the variety! The rest of the night was filled with toasting, roasting, energetic dancing, pie eating, and a whole lot of love.
Jamie and Neisan, I’ve seen the fantastic honeymoon photos and I’m so happy that I got to help usher you into the next stage of your life together. I wish nothing but the best for you!
