Madison Connecticut Beach Wedding | Carisa and Liz
About six weeks after Liz and Carisa eloped at the edge of Lily Lake in Breckenridge, they hosted their closest family and friends at an intimate wedding on the shores of Connecticut.
They held their wedding on a private beach down the road from Carisa’s family home and the entire day had an air of relaxed love.
When I arrived, Carisa was hanging out with her family and the dogs in the yard of the family home. From there, the relaxed timeline took us through a first look, oceanside vows, and a rowdy party that ended with dancing in unicorn onsies.
One of my favorite parts of the day was the moment Liz and Carisa saw each other for the first time. Their laughs and excitement when they first turned around were quickly followed by a high five. To me, this solidified the joy that would show up throughout their day.
Following the ceremony, Liz and Carisa went out for a quick canoe trip in surprise “just married” life vests. When they returned, we took advantage of the gorgeous coastal sunset light for some portraits. Then ventured back to the family property for toasts and the most delicious food truck food. Heck yes to wood fired pizza and local lobster rolls.
Food trucks are becoming more popular at Colorado weddings and I love that this trend exists on the east coast, too. To top it off, Carisa and Liz’s friends made their wedding cake and cupcakes and they were to die for.
I couldn’t be happier to have had the honor of celebrating with Carisa and Liz twice this year. I can’t wait to see where your life journey takes you from here.
Congratulations friends!
