Maysun and Nathaniel’s Denver Nikah
A couple of short months after I hiked around Rocky Mountain National Park with Maysun and Nathaniel for their engagement session, I joined them in the city for their Art Hotel Denver Nikah.
Maysun started the day hanging out in her suite with her mother, aunt, and family. The excitement among the women was quiet while Maysun got her make up and hair done. Then her mom and aunt helped her into her soft blue beaded wedding dress, jewelry, and dupatta.
Maysun had spent 6 hours getting her customized henna done a couple of days before, and it was a beautiful complement to the colors that Maysun chose for her wedding dress.
A short time later Maysun was walking down the aisle in the Art Hotel with her dad and settling in for the start of the Nikah. I just loved the smiles exchanged between Maysun and Nathaniel during the ceremony as they both listened to the Imam read the ceremony and their families sign the marriage contract.
After the ceremony, we took some time to explore the Art Hotel’s fun artwork and lights on the patio before Maysun and Nathaniel enjoyed a wedding dinner with their closest family and friends in the Hotel restaurant.
Maysun and Nathaniel, it was an honor to celebrate with you for your Nikah and I can’t wait to see you again for your final ceremony in just a couple of months!
