Outdoor Summer Wedding in Tabernash | A + J

One of my favorite Colorado Wedding Venues is Devil’s Thumb Ranch. I’ve mostly shot there in the winter, but summer weddings have their own appeal.

Just as in the winter, the backdrop at Devil’s Thumb Ranch is perfect for an intimate wedding.  This year I joined Jenae Lopez to photograph A + J’s beautiful summer wedding.  The cool, crip Colorado air, with sunshine peaking through the clouds off an on, provided the perfect atmosphere for this celebration.

We started the day hanging out with A + J as they got ready, then we set them up for a first look among the evergreens.

The ceremony was held on an out of the way deck that provided spectacular views of the continental divide.  Then after a cocktail hour that featured fire pits and market lights, the crew retreated to the intimate Timber House for their reception.

I just loved the comfortable feel of this day, with lots of kiddos, horses, and cozy corners.
