Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Wedding | Steph and Chris
Steph and Chris have been together for 8 years and love the outdoors. They live in the mountains of Colorado where they can constantly find excuses to get outside and adventure together. In fact, they got engaged at the top of a 14ner, which fits them so perfectly.
When it came time to plan their wedding, they let nature and their love for their mountain life take center stage and chose the Park Hyatt in beautiful Beaver Creek.
I arrived for the rehearsal dinner the day before their late-May wedding, driving through the mountains in mist, rain, and snow to get there. You never know what May will look like in Colorado and Steph and Chris knew they were taking a chance on the weather when they started planning. But I love their beautiful spirit and the way they completely embraced whatever mother nature threw their way.
Thankfully the weather changed overnight and Steph and Chris were able to hold their ceremony outdoors thanks to an hour of snow shoveling by the groomsmen!
The day continued to unfold with peeks of sunshine, bridesmaids dancing at the alter, and one adorable flower pup. My favorite part of the day was the vibe I felt during the ceremony. Next to a softly babbling creek, the 200 people that came to celebrate with Steph and Chris were so present. They laughed, they cried, and they poured their love into the couple as they pledged to continue to adventure together.
Steph and Chris, it has been such a pleasure getting to know you and I know you’re going to do great things together.
