June was a month of 2nd shooting and on the very last weekend, I was happy to tag along with Hillary Kaye Photography for a Pines at Genesee wedding. Hillary’s cousin, Ryan, was the groom, so the whole day was full of family hugs and greetings and there was an air of comfort from start to finish. The Pines at Genesee is a very pretty spot, just off of I-70, full of soaring evergreen trees and roaming deer (Ryan joked that he needed to grab one for dinner!), and a ceremony site on a pretty stone patio.
I love that Ryan and Lainey chose to do a First Look as it gave them a few minutes by themselves before jumping into the hustle and bustle of the rest of their wedding day. We waited until sunset to do couple’s portraits and ended up with the most amazing light just before the sun dipped behind the mountains.
We finished the night with the most amazing mini-bundt cakes–I could have eaten a dozen!
Congratulations Ryan and Lainey and thanks Hillary for having me along to celebrate!
