Rachel and Jon’s Sprague Lake Engagement
Often times I find myself photographing in the same locations in Rocky Mountain National Park. But that’s because they are so freaking good.
And there are so many different ways that a session can turn out, depending on weather, time of year, and time of day. I love the variety you can get in one location. Which is why I’m never afraid to suggest my favorite spots over and over again.
Sprague Lake is one of those spots that I enjoy shooting at every time I’m there.
For this session we definitely took advantage of the mountain views, but we also found a small grove of aspens right off the parking lot that capitalized on the afternoon light perfectly.
And at the end of the session, we found a perfectly placed evergreen tree that created the most magical filtered light.
Trees for the win at this session. But don’t take my word for it–see for yourself!
