Riverside Wedding in the Mountains | Ashlyn and Corey

When you’re part of a large photography network, you meet some amazing people.  When you’re part of said network in the midst of a larger wedding network, you are bound to rub shoulders with some phenomenal talent.  I think one of the best things about getting involved with the Denver Photo Betties three years ago AND all of the networking I did in our first year in Denver, is that I get to call some of these awesome people friends.

In early October I joined Chris Loring Photography as an assistant for Ashlyn and Corey’s Lyons Riverbend wedding.  Its so much fun to work alongside other photographers–to see how they click and to see what results they get.  Chris helped me out a ton at several weddings this year so I was happy to return the favor.  My duties ranged from running to grab lenses, holding the off camera flash during toasts and dancing, and lighting up a scene around a campfire.  I had a blast and hope to work with Chris on more weddings in the future.

For Ashlyn and Corey’s Lyons Riverbend wedding, I also got to meet and work with some very talented professionals, including Holly of Love Letters Floral Design (check out the awesome, minimalist flower crown) and Sarah Brown, of Sarah Brown Weddings.  And don’t get me started on the phenomenal pizza from Basic Kneads.  I could have eaten a whole pie!
