Shyft at Mile High Denver Wedding | Industrial Winter Wedding Inspiration
Once or twice a year I have the chance to coordinate and photograph a styled inspiration shoot. This year my photography group, The Denver Photo Betties, hosted a Shyft at Mile High Denver Wedding.
Shyft is a very cool venue because they aren’t a traditional event space.
From their website:
At SHYFT, we believe anyone can rediscover the wonder of life by practicing mindfulness.
Our nonprofit provides people from all walks of life with practices that are shown to help people heal from trauma, reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and ultimately experience more joy in daily living. We’d like to “shift” how and who in our community have access to practices such as yoga, guided meditations, and more.
They rent their space out in order to support their non-profit missions. I think that’s just a wonderful business model!
As far as an event space, the venue features a wide open floor plan. The space can be designed and purposed in a variety of ways. A designer’s dream!
Shyft at Mile High Wedding Inspiration
For this shoot Mallorie from Enchanted Designs created the original winter vision and brought together an incredible team to coordinate and execute the day.
Velvet Armoire Floral created the stunning bridal bouquets which were a mix of purple, blush, and green. And she created and styled the ceremony site which featured a modern copper piping arch.
Cak the Bakery brought in the modern cake and the delicious donut wall. And let me tell you, those donuts were the BEST I’ve eaten in a long time. I’m so ordering donuts from Rene for my next event. And to compliment the donuts, Harvest to Home created some stunning AND delicious bite sized finger foods.
We worked with professional models from Wilhemina Denver for this shoot and were able to show off some truly beautiful wedding dresses from The Bridal Connection. Niki McCarntney stepped in for hair and make up and created some stunning styles.
And finally, Wild Sage Calligraphy tied it all together with beautiful name plates on our head table and watercolor invitations.
This day could not have been pulled off without the awesome leadership team from our group, our fabulous vendors, and our awesome models.
