Where is Snow Mountain Ranch?
Snow Mountain Ranch is located in Granby, CO at 1101 Co Rd 53, Granby, CO 80446.
Operated by the YMCA, Snow Mountain Ranch sits on acres of beautiful, rolling hills, with views of the northern mountains.
What is the overall feel of Snow Mountain Ranch?
From their site:
Whether you want historic homesteads and rustic barns or expansive views of the Pole Creek Valley and Continental Divide, Snow Mountain Ranch has the backdrop for your special day.
Vibe: Rustic and laid back
Overall Impressions: This venue is super low key and wedding guests often bump shoulders with summer campers and family reunions. Most couples who choose Snow Mountain Ranch craft beautiful DIY weddings and put the emphasis on family celebrations in the mountains.
Where do I get ready at Sapphire Point?
Rent one of the large cabins to house your close family and friends. Not only is it a great home base for wedding weekend activities, but it provides lots of space for getting ready.
Where will my ceremony be at Snow Mountain Ranch?
There are four ceremony spaces at Snow Mountain Ranch (one indoor, three outdoor), all with their own feel.
Columbine Point
Columbine Point is located at the top of a grassy knoll with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The large cross serves as the alter (it is the YMCA afterall) and guests sit on wooden benches in rows. After your ceremony there are ample spots in the area for family, bridal party, and couple’s photos. This spot is farther from the main reception site and might require people to drive.
Wildflower Chapel
Wildflower Chapel is right next to the Legett Building, where most receptions take place. The alter here is a teepee of sorts, and the site overlooks fields with mountain views in the background.
Rowley Homestead
The Rowley Homestead is the farthest spot away from the main buildings and can only be accessed in summer when the roads are open. The site features historical and rustic buildings that are a cool backdrop to your wedding day. There is also a tented area here, which means you can host your ceremony and reception in one spot.
Whispering Pines Chapel
The whispering pines is the indoor option for ceremonies at Snow Mountain.
Reception spaces at Snow Mountain Ranch
There are three reception spaces at Snow Mountain Ranch.
Legett Reception Hall
This space is the most central to the Wildflower chapel and is popular for receptions. It can host a large guest count for dinner. It features an outdoor porch that is perfect for guests to hang out on during cocktail hours or to watch the alpenglow on the mountains as the sun sets. It’s a blank canvas that you can decorate any way you’d like.
Schlessman Common
Schlessman Commons is the dining hall and can hold a larger guest count than the Legett Building. It’s also not far from the main sits at the YMCA and is a blank canvas for decorating as well.
Mountain Air Cookout Shelter
For an outdoor ceremony options, you can use the picnic shelter. The large shelter boasts tall wooden beams and rows of picnic tables. It’s perfect for a really low key outdoor reception for a large guest count.
