We started off this year’s wedding season with an amazing couple and we LOVED working with them.
Monica and Jason were pure joy to work with from the start. From the second we sat down for beer, cider, and pizza until we left them dancing the night away with their family and friends under the twinkle lights at the end of their Spring wedding at Chatfield Farm and Gardens, we enjoyed every single minute with them.
Part of what I love most about Monica and Jason as a couple is that they aren’t afraid to wear their emotions and their joy out in the open. They can’t stop smiling when they are around each other and they’re constantly making each other laugh. I can picture them perfectly when they’re 90 years old, sitting side by side with deep laughter lines around their eyes, still just as in love as ever.
A huge, heartfelt congratulations Monica and Jason! It was such a pleasure to work with you over the last year!
Spring Wedding at Chatfield Farm and Gardens
Heather hung out with Jason and his groomsmen at a nearby hotel while Monica and her girls got ready at the schoolhouse on the grounds of Chatfield.
Monica and Jason chose to do a first look at and it turned out to be one of the most amazing first looks I’ve ever witnessed. It came complete with an original song serenade.
After the first look we took time out for a few couple’s portraits. Monica and Jason were literally jumping up and down with happiness and excitement.
The Open Air Chapel at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield is a perfect backdrop for a wedding. You really don’t need much decoration to make it look amazing. And even though it was hot and sunny, Monica and Jason smiled and laughed their way through their personalized vows.
Then they wrapped each other up in joy during their first few minutes of being husband and wife.
After family formals we had a few minutes to sneak away for some couple’s photos. Then we headed to the reception where the introductions of the wedding party set the tone for the rest of the evening.
The early evening light was just perfect for the heartfelt toasts and first dances.
And the light just kept getting better as we snuck away for some more couple’s photos right at sunset. Though Jason had a minor mishap with a stinging nettle plant, it was such a joy to see them relax into each other and enjoy a few quiet minutes away together.
By the time sun had set it was time to get the dance party started. And boy did was it hopping!
