I shared the resulting branding video featuring this shoot in my post last week, but now I’m excited to share the photos themselves!
Kelly and Irwin are from Connecticut and actually got married at Maroon Bells the week before this Summer Mt. Evans Elopement shoot. They spent the week after their wedding backpacking and hiking in the Colorado mountains and I feel honored that they chose to cap off their honeymoon week with me.
Joining me for this fabulous trek up to 14,000 feet was Christin of Oak + Feather Films. We hopped in Kelly and Irwin’s rented convertible and drove up the Mt. Evans road toward the summit. We stared the shoot at Summit Lake where we played with light, clouds, and rain, as Colorado threw all of its summer weather elements at us.
Then we continued on to the Mt. Evans summit where Kelly and Irwin exchanged vows, right as the sun was setting. The evening remained cloudy and the breeze picked up, but the colors that the sun produced during that sunset could not have been more perfect for this shoot.
I have to give a shout out to the amazing hair and make-up team of Hayley Styles and Nicole Toeldo Make-up Artistry, as well as to Crista of Indigo Flower Market for styling the perfect summer bridal bouquet. And to Cristy from Lucky Onion who made the beautiful vow books.
And if you haven’t seen it yet, make sure to click over and watch the branding video. It’s so so beautiful and everything I could have imagined.
And stay tuned because I’ll be sharing part 2 of this shoot next.
