Urban Denver Wedding | Courtney and Ryan
We’ve been looking forward to Courtney and Ryan’s urban Denver Wedding for almost a year. We first met them at the 1st Denver Big Fake Wedding last year and photographed their engagement last October in Genesee Park. Then it was time to sit back and wait for their wedding day!
Courtney and Ryan met on match.com almost 4 years ago and have built a life together in Denver that includes a new addition to their family, an adorable puppy named Berkeley that they picked up several days after their wedding.
The two of them got ready in downtown Denver before hopping on a party bus with their bridal party and family to head to Civic Center Park for portraits. We could not have asked for a better location for portraits and the architecture paired perfectly with Courtney’s unique dress by Hayley Paige.
Then it was time to head to blanc, a newer wedding venue in Denver that features white-washed walls, exposed brick, fantastic landscaping, and the most amazing industrial feel. In front of about 100 of their family and friends, they pledged to spend their life supporting, loving, and appreciating each other.
Courtney and Ryan, it has been an amazing year getting to know the two of you and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. Hope you had an amazing time in Telluride!
Courtney had been dying to wear her pair of gorgeous Badgley Mischka shoes for months and couldn’t wait to break them out on her wedding day.
Hayley from Hayley Styles did Courtney’s elegant undo and Heather Baker did the flawless make-up of all of the girls.
I love the spots we found to photograph Courtney’s amazing architectural dress from Hayley Paige.
Lace and Lillies provided the soft neutral bouquets with pops of jewel toned purples.
The excitement on Courtney’s face as they zipped up her dress said it all.
Before heading to Civic Center Park for portraits, Courtney did a first look with her dad and then one with Ryan.Lace and Lillies magic again. The colors perfectly complimented the deep navy dresses that Courtney’s bridesmaids wore. Then it was time for Ryan and Courtney to relax and take some portraits together. The architecture at Civic Center Park was such a perfect backdrop.
Then it was time to head to blanc to chill before the ceremony. Despite a few sprinkles, the weather held and the outdoor ceremony went off without a hitch. Husband and Wife!Lace and Lillies provided the garland that graced the ceremony space and the head table inside blanc. And how awesome are the bare hanging bulbs accenting the center table? Relish catering provided the amazing spread of food, inspired by the location of Ryan and Courtney’s first three dates (Lola’s, Protos, and Gov’s Park).
After dinner, hilarious and heartfelt toasts were given by both family and friends.
Then Ryan and Courtney shared their first dance under the market light on the patio, before having an ice cream tasting. Courtney really hates cake, but loves ice cream, so they brought the Sweet Cow Ice Cream truck to the party! Sweet Cow made Courtney’s favorite flavor, Fruity Pebbles, just for the wedding, and also brought along a selection of their specialties–including the most amazing Peach Sorbet I’ve ever tasted. I think I had three servings! Then it was back inside for a full-fledged dance party led by Elite DJ!
