Vail Interfaith Chapel Wedding Ceremony | Kelsey and Paul
Like many of my couples, Kelsey and Paul have been together over a decade. They met their freshman year of college and starting dating when they were sophomores. Both admit that they knew early on that they loved each other and that their relationship was worth investing in for the long haul. Fast forward to July of 2019 and they brought their favorite people together to celebrate with them.
Kelsey and Paul decided on a summer Sonnenalp Hotel Vail wedding–one of my favorite venues in Vail! The first time I visited, I fell in love with the European charm, the open hair reception area, and the proximity to the creek.
They started the day getting ready in separate suites at the Sonnenalp. Both were slightly nervous, but had the best support team around them as they put the finishing touches on their looks. Then it was time to meet for a first look by the creek.
Kelsey and Paul absolutely love Vail and wanted to make the trek up Vail Mountain for photos with views, so after the first look we swiftly boarded the gondola to ride to the top. We were short on time, but we knew we’d only have one chance for wedding photos at the top of the mountain. So we walked quickly to take in the variety of views and make the most of our time up top.
Once we made it back down the mountain, we went straight to the Vail Interfaith Chapel where the ceremony started promptly.
Kelsey and Paul exchanged emotional vows and invited their family to take part in the ceremony.
Before we knew it, they were walking back down the aisle as husband and wife!
After the ceremony, the weather changed. We managed to get most of our bridal party photos done outdoors, before a downpour forced their cocktail hour indoors. Luckily, the Sonnenlap reception space features retractable roof and windows. Which meant that we were able to maintain the illusion of being outdoors, even though we were covered.
After dinner, we took advantage of some sunset light for a few last relaxed minute portraits. Then it was time to boogie down on the dance floor! Our coverage ended shortly after dancing started. But not before both Kelsey and Paul had been bounced in the air by their friends!
I wish nothing but the best future for you two–congratulations!!
