Winter Park Resort Weddings

What is the feel of a Winter Park Resort wedding?
Vibe: More relaxed than Vail, with excellent customer service.
Favorite parts: I’ve only photographed a Winter Park Resort Wedding in the winter, but I absolutely loved it. The winter ceremony spot is at the top of the mountain and the wedding party can get transported to the top in a snow cat. Not only an extremely cool way to travel, the 20 minute trip up the mountain provides breathtaking views of the mountain side and the picturesque snow covered evergreens.
Overall Impressions: Another favorite venue of mine, mostly because I think the Winter Park mountains get overlooked a lot by tourists. They feel more remote than somewhere like Vail, with a decidedly local feel. The staff clearly loves their jobs and the friendly customer service is top notch.
Where is the Winter Park Resort located?
Winter Park, Colorado. A few miles before you hit the town of Winter Park, you’ll enter the Winter Park Resort Ski Area. Primarily a winter hub of activity, the resort has three spots for ceremonies in the summer and one in the winter.
Pro Tips for getting married at Winter Park Resort
If you are getting married in the winter, you can’t hold your ceremony until after the lifts close for the day, so prepare for a ceremony after dark. For photos, this means taking advantage of the afternoon light while it lasts and getting most of your photos done pre-ceremony.
