Woodland Mosaic Intimate Wedding | Nadia and Michael
It was such a pleasure to celebrate with Nadia and Michael at their Woodland Mosaic intimate wedding. Inside the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Woodland Mosaic gardens features a beautiful glass green house. It’s the perfect spot for an intimate wedding.
Nadia and Michael were one of the couples who choose to re-imagine their wedding amidst COVID. Their original 200 person wedding became an intimate affair with about 25 present, but it was still filled with a ton of love and laughter.
I met up with the crew at the gardens on a super hot June day and hung out with Nadia and her friends while she put the finishing touches on.
There were nerves in the getting ready room that erupted in laugher every few minutes. And even more excited laughter as the group made its way to the ceremony site.
Finally, it was time for Nadia’s uncle to walk her down the aisle towards Michael.
Woodland Mosaic Intimate Wedding Ceremony
Their officiant, Lisa, put together a very intentional ceremony that focused on being present, taking in each moment, and being appreciative of the love surrounding them. In the era of marriage during a pandemic, it felt just right.
After the ceremony there were huge hugs, laughter through masks, and some time to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends.
Later, we had the opportunity to explore the gardens together for couple’s photos. We headed to some of my favorite spots including June’s Plantasia and the Lily Pad ponds. The thing I love most about the gardens is that there is always something new to explore each year. A new plant area, new flowers, and new designs. We didn’t even get to every space, but the areas we chose were the perfect backdrop for the relaxed and organic day.
After we air hugged goodbye, Nadia and Michael headed to her mom’s house for the backyard reception. From the looks of their Instagram posts, it was as lovely as their wedding ceremony.
I’ll finish this post with one quote from their questionnaire that really stuck out to me:
“[We look forward to] building our lives together more and more while trying new things – making a home out of a house, building up a garden, and letting all of our ideas run free.”
Nadia and Michael, I had so much fun spending time with you over the last year. I know you’re going to do great things as you let your “ideas run free”.
Much love.
