Where is the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMOCA)?
The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMOCA) is in beautiful Boulder, CO. Located on a quiet street, just three blocks from the hustle and bustle of Pearl Street, you’ll be able to enjoy views of the Flat Irons before you enter the building.
What is the overall feel of BMOCA?
A mix of contemporary art and rustic exposed brick means this space can take on a variety of looks and feels. The exposed brick makes the main event space feel cozy and comfortable.
From their site:
Each season BMoCA’s galleries are transformed by a new group of world-renowned artists. The artwork presents a unique backdrop for your event and an opportunity for all guests to experience the vision of contemporary artists. In addition to the galleries, there is a dedicated event space that can be tailored to suit your vision.
Pro Tips for Getting Married at Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
Make sure you leave time for couple’s photos in the area. There are cool places to wander around outside for photos, including the Dushabne Tea House which is located right next door.
The museum only uses one catering company, but they own several of the prominent restaurants in Boulder. Make sure you like their food!
Consider your guest count. Due to the support beams in the main event space, it can feel really tight if your guest count gets too high. Make sure you have a realistic conversation about flow of your event and spacing. This venue is perfect for smaller, more intimate weddings.
