2015 Year in Review | Jennie Crate, Photographer
Here we are again–the end of another year. I’m sure I’ll say this again next year, but I can’t believe how fast this year has gone! Not only has it been a year of tremendous professional growth (in both the photography and museum worlds–more on both later), but also in our personal life.
Over the last 8 months, Heather and I have welcomed two foster kiddos into our home, and so have had to jump into parenting with about 24 hours notice. The first kiddo returned home in November and then we got the call for the 2nd about 5 days later. Talk about a quick transition!
Needless to say, having a kiddo in the house, especially during wedding season, was an exercise in organization, calendar coordination, and last minute changes of plans.
But we got through it, grew together as individuals and as a family, and learned how to prioritize and budget our time. And through it all, we had the privilege of working with just the right couples. The couples who made my weekends away from home worth it and who loved and appreciated Heather and I for everything we do outside of photography.
To all of you who made 2015 such an amazing year, thank you. I hope you know how much we love and appreciate you in return.
