365 Day Photo Project – February

Upon our arrival in Colorado, I stayed with friends in Rifle (about a three hour drive over the mountains West of Denver) and looked for jobs, while my wife stayed with friends in Denver and started her new job.  While I was there I had the chance to explore some of the mountain towns along I-70 and came across a few hidden surprises!

I stumbled across horses along a country road.  They were very friendly and came over to say hi and let me take their picture.
After an interview at the Denver Botanic Gardens (which I nailed and got the position, yay!), I strolled the grounds and captured these shots.
Even in the snow the garden’s were beautiful.
