A Pizza and Ice Cream Party Denver Wedding | Rachel and Drew

One of the things that I love most about Rachel and Drew, is that you really get the sense that they both feel incredibly lucky to have found each other. These sentiments were echoed through the day,  in their comments by friend, in the toasts, and by how they looked at each other through the night. And by the random jumps of joy that Rachel gave every time she really thought about the fact that she was going to get to marry Drew.

We started the day with the wedding parties getting ready in separate spaces in Denver. Both were surrounded by their closest friends, and it was clear by the energy in the rooms that there was a ton of shared history and love between each of them and their friends.

After getting ready we traveled to blanc, the site of their ceremony and reception. They loved blanc the moment they saw it and knew it was the perfect spot for the “ice cream and pizza party” they wanted to plan. 

Though there was heavy smoke in the area, it didn’t really affect their outdoor wedding plans.

The ceremony took place in front of the grove of trees and a beautifully decorated aspen arbor. Rachel and Drew chose to read their vows privately before the ceremony, so their ceremony with their guests was short and sweet. Then they danced down the aisle in joy, with tears in their eyes.

Mountain Crust Pizza hosted the “pizza party”. If you’ve never had Mountain Crust, I hope you have the chance someday. They are my absolute favorite food truck and the setup they have to bring wood fired pizza directly to wedding guests is perfect.

After dinner and toasts, Rachel and Drew opened the dance floor and the DJ had the party hopping the rest of the night. Whenever guests wanted a break from dancing, they could head out to the patio under the market lights and relax under the twilight sky.

Towards the end of the night, Little Man Ice Cream showed up and treated guests to their signature flavors (can I get a high five for Salted Oreo?).

I’m so happy to have been a part of this beautiful celebration–congratulations you two!
