Amanda and Crystal’s Intimate Boreas Pass Elopement

Amanda and Crystal are from out of state, but really wanted to celebrate their elopement in Colorado. I first met them last winter when they came out for engagement photos in Rocky Mountain National Park and I was thrilled when they decided to elope in Breckenridge!

We started the day at their lodge in Breck where they did their final getting ready touches before setting up a first look by the river.

Then they loaded up their car and we headed up Boreas Pass to explore some nature together. I love how varied the scenery at Boreas Pass is and we had the perfect weather all day–sunny and comfortably warm.

We stopped at all of my favorite spots along the road (can you believe how perfectly the water tower color matched Crystal’s suit??) and had so much fun chasing light and laughing together.

Amanda and Crystal had chosen a spot in the meadow to say their vows, so we pulled over and they headed down their hill with vow books in hand. They both had tears in their eyes as they read their personal vows and exchanged rings, then finally pronounced themselves married!

After some hugs and kisses, we finished the drive up to the top of Boreas pass, just in time for the sun to set behind the mountains. As the air cooled, they shared a toast of some phenomenally good tequila, broke out in some dance moves, and enjoyed the final rays of alpenglow on the peaks behind them. They capped off their day signing their marriage license on the hood of their car.
