Brian and Caleb’s High Altitude Elopement
Caleb and Brian came to Colorado from Chicago to elope. Though they had been engaged for four years, and had started planning a wedding a couple of years ago, they ultimately decided to to make it official in our beautiful state.
After looking at a couple of options, they chose Boreas Pass as the location they wanted to say “I do”. We started our session on the trail near the start of the Pass, taking time to explore the light in the trees and get familiar with each other. Then we headed up the Pass, pulling over when we were inspired, and hitting some of my favorite spots for photos.
Finally, we stopped at a meadow and Brian and Caleb prepared to say their vows. They had kept their elopement a surprise from all but their closest family, and had asked their family to write letters for them to read at their ceremony. Through tears of emotion that started flowing right from the start, the two read their family letters, and read their vows to each other. They laughed, cried, and fully gave themselves to the moment of their marriage.
As the sun crept closer to the mountains, we finished the session with a champagne toast and cheers at the top of the pass.
Caleb and Brian, I’m so glad you chose Colorado for your elopement and it was truly an honor to celebrate with you!
